How You Can Make an Impact
As a Data Architect in our AI & Data team, you will guide senior stakeholders at our clients in making strategic architectural choices, leading the design and implementation of groundbreaking enterprise-wide solutions.
Your contributions will significantly impact the following areas:
- Lead Enterprise Data Architecture Design: Assist clients in modernizing complex system landscapes, integrating multiple solutions such as MDM, CRM, ERP, and Cloud DWH. Collaborate with senior clients to create enterprise-level architecture and enforce pragmatic standards while planning their modernization journey.
- Lead Cloud Data Platform Design & Implementation: Help clients build scalable and high-performance Cloud data platforms tailored to their business needs. Your work will encompass data modeling, integration, transformation pipelines, and the application of AI to enhance operational efficiency.
- Architect Integrated Solutions: Facilitate the design and construction of integrations essential for business processes and data product delivery, especially between Cloud data platforms and AI/Gen AI platforms or between MDM and CRM systems.
- Strengthen Our Market Positioning: Elevate our architectural footprint through industry events, conferences, and dialogue with key clients, internal teams, and alliance partners.
- Develop Our Internal Know-How: Mentor junior team members within AI & Data and focus on building strategic expertise within Switzerland and in collaboration with near- and offshore teams.
What We Are Looking For
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the role of a Data Architect, leading teams in designing and implementing complex cloud-based ecosystems.
- Engineering background with at least one hands-on data platform end-to-end implementation experience as a data engineer (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Experience evaluating and making data architecture decisions while influencing strategic direction and engaging with business and IT stakeholders.
- Familiarity with best practices in coding quality and tools such as SonarQube, along with AI coding assistants integrated into IDEs.
- Exposure to a variety of database types, including structured, semi-structured, and graph-based models. Experience packaging data platform solutions into Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) is a plus.

- Exceptional reasoning skills to understand and articulate the linkages between enterprise-level, solution-level, and operational concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey ideas effectively to both technical and business audiences.
- Proficient team leadership abilities, capable of collaborating with external partners, planning work, and mentoring team members for optimal outcomes.
Technical Expertise
- Strong modeling skills with certifications from DAMA, TOGAF, or equivalents across various data model types.
- Hands-on experience designing solutions on major cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure.
- Expertise in architecting modern data platforms (Lakehouse, Medallion, Lambda) and understanding implementation balance between performance, cost, and maintainability.
- Proficient in Data Integration & ETL, capable of designing integration architectures from diverse sources including ERP, CRM, APIs, and files.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German and/or French is highly preferred.
