How You Can Make an Impact
As a Data Architect in our AI & Data team, you will guide senior clients in making informed architectural decisions and lead the design and implementation of innovative enterprise-wide solutions. Your significant impact will be felt in the following areas:
- Lead Enterprise Data Architecture Design: Help clients modernize complex system landscapes including MDM, CRM, ERP, and Cloud DWH. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to design enterprise-level architecture, establish enforceable standards, and plan modernization journeys.
- Lead Cloud Data Platform Design & Implementation: Assist clients in building scalable, high-performance cloud data platforms. Your responsibilities will include data modelling, integration, transformation pipelines, DevOps, and utilizing AI for efficient platform operation while leading engineering teams.
- Architect Integrated Solutions: Design and build necessary integrations for business processes and data products, focusing on connections between cloud data platforms and AI/Gen AI platforms, MDM, or CRM systems.
- Strengthen Market Positioning and Opportunities Funnel: Enhance our architectural footprint in the market through strategic events, conferences, and discussions with key clients and alliance partners.
- Develop Internal Know-How and Expertise: Mentor junior team members in AI & Data and set strategic focus for expertise development within Switzerland and in relation to near- and offshore teams.
What We Are Looking For
Experience:
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience as a Data Architect with a history of leading teams in developing complex cloud-based ecosystems.
- Engineering background with hands-on experience in end-to-end data platform implementations across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Experience in evaluating and making data architecture decisions, influencing strategic directions, and engaging both business and IT stakeholders.
- Experience guiding data engineers on best practices regarding coding styles and quality, familiar with tools like SonarQube and AI coding assistants.
- Experience with various database types, including structured, semi-structured, and graph-based models.
- Nice to have: Experience in packaging data platform solutions as Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform.

- Strong abstract reasoning skills to grasp enterprise-level concepts and their interconnections.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of articulating viewpoints clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong team leadership skills, able to collaborate with external partners, estimate work, and coach team members for optimal outcomes.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong skills in modeling methods with experience or certifications from DAMA, TOGAF, or similar.
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions on major cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure.
- Expertise in architecting modern data platforms in Snowflake and/or Databricks, focusing on performance, cost, and maintainability.
- Ability to design integration architectures from various sources (ERP, CRM, operational databases, APIs, files).
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica or DBT is a plus.
- Proficiency in reviewing SQL, Python, and Spark engineering work.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German and/or French is highly preferred.
