How You Can Make an Impact
As a Data Architect in our AI & Data team, you will guide senior stakeholders at our client organizations in making informed architectural choices, leading the design and implementation of innovative enterprise-wide solutions.
You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the following areas:
- Lead Enterprise Data Architecture Design: Assist clients in modernizing complex system landscapes that span multiple solutions (e.g., MDM, CRM, ERP, Cloud DWH). Collaborate with senior client stakeholders to design enterprise-level architecture, establish pragmatic and enforceable architecture standards, and plan their modernization journey.
- Lead Cloud Data Platform Design & Implementation: Help build scalable, high-performance cloud data platforms that meet business needs. Your responsibilities will include data modeling, integration, transformation pipelines, DevOps, and employing AI to efficiently manage these platforms.
- Architect Integrated Solutions: Design and construct integrations necessary for seamless business processes and delivery of data products, including connections between cloud data platforms and AI/Gen AI systems.
- Strengthen Market Positioning: Lead our architectural footprint in the market through events, conferences, and discussions with key clients, internal teams, and alliance partners.
- Develop Internal Knowledge and Expertise: Mentor junior team members and set a strategic focus for expertise building within Switzerland and in relation to near- and offshore teams.
What We Are Looking For
Experience
- 4 or more years of relevant professional experience as a Data Architect, having led teams that designed and implemented complex cloud-based ecosystems.
- Engineering background with at least one hands-on data platform end-to-end implementation experience as a data engineer (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Experience in evaluating and making data architecture decisions, influencing strategic direction, and convincing business and IT stakeholders.
- Proficient in guiding data engineers on best coding practices and familiar with industry coding quality tools such as SonarQube.
- Experience across various database types, including structured (relational), semi-structured (NoSQL), and graph-based (knowledge graph) models.
- Nice to have: Experience in packaging data platform solutions into Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform.

- Strong client-facing capabilities, adept at connecting with senior stakeholders, building relationships, and converting opportunities into projects.
- Excellent abstract reasoning skills to understand how enterprise-level and operational concepts link together.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills to articulate points of view and resonate with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong team leadership abilities, with a focus on collaboration, work estimation, and coaching team members for optimal client outcomes.
Technical Expertise
- Proficient in modeling methods with experience or certifications from DAMA, TOGAF, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions on major cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure.
- Expertise in architecting modern data platforms such as Lakehouse, Medallion, Lambda, and event-driven architectures in Snowflake and/or Databricks.
- Familiarity with integration layers between multiple sources (ERP, CRM, operational databases, APIs, files).
- Nice to have: Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica or DBT.
- Ability to oversee engineering work in SQL, Python, Spark.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of German and/or French is highly preferred.
