How You Can Make an Impact
As a Data Architect in our AI & Data team, you will guide senior clients in making informed architectural choices and leading the design and implementation of innovative, enterprise-wide solutions.
Your significant impact will be realized in the following areas:
- Lead Enterprise Data Architecture Design: Assist clients in modernizing complex system landscapes that require integration across multiple solutions (e.g., MDM, CRM, ERP, Cloud DWH). You will work with senior client stakeholders to design enterprise-level architecture and pragmatic, enforceable standards while planning their modernization journey.
- Lead Cloud Data Platform Design & Implementation: Help clients develop scalable, high-performance Cloud data platforms that meet their business needs. Your responsibilities will include data modeling, integration, transformation pipelines, DevOps, and utilizing AI to build and operate these platforms effectively. You will make crucial design decisions and lead onshore and offshore engineering teams in developing the solution.
- Architect Integrated Solutions: Assist clients in designing and building the necessary integrations to run their business processes and deliver data products, including integration between Cloud data platforms and AI/Gen AI platforms or between MDM and CRM systems and Cloud data platforms.
- Strengthen Market Positioning: Lead our architectural footprint in the market through events, conferences, and discussions with key clients, internal teams, and alliance partners.
- Develop Internal Expertise: Mentor junior team members within AI & Data and establish strategic focus for expertise building in Switzerland and with near- and offshore teams.
What We Are Looking For
Experience
- You have 4 or more years of relevant professional experience as a Data Architect, leading teams in the design and implementation of complex cloud-based ecosystems.
- You have an engineering background and at least one hands-on experience with end-to-end data platform implementation (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake).
- You have experience in evaluating and making data architecture decisions, influencing strategic direction, and effectively communicating with business and IT stakeholders.
- You have guided data engineers in coding best practices and are familiar with coding quality tools like SonarQube, as well as AI coding assistants integrated into IDEs.
- You possess experience with various database types, including structured (relational), semi-structured (NoSQL), and graph-based models.
- Nice to have: Experience in packaging data platform solutions into Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to clearly articulate points of view to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong team leadership skills, with the capacity to partner with external team members, estimate and plan work, and coach teams to deliver optimal client outcomes.
Technical Expertise
- Experienced in modeling methods with certifications from DAMA, TOGAF, or equivalent; proficient in:
- Conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Dimensional modeling.
- Data Vault.
- Design of normalized and denormalized schemas for analytical and operational workloads.
- Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms, including:
- AWS
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Azure
- Expertise in architecting modern data platforms (Lakehouse, Medallion, Lambda, event-driven) in Snowflake, Databricks, or similar.
- Ability to estimate implementation efforts and lead delivery teams.
- Experience in designing integration layers from multiple sources (ERP, CRM, operational databases, APIs, and files).
- Nice to have: Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica or DBT.
- Proficiency in metadata and event-driven architecture, with expertise in capturing metadata in data pipelines.
- Ability to review engineering work done in SQL, Python, Spark, and familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Fluent in English; fluency in German and/or French is highly preferred.
