Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of functional operational or technical experience in the Packaging or Maintenance areas within the FMCG industry.
  • At least 5 years of experience on the shop floor as a frontline leader managing packaging or technical operations (packaging, maintenance, projects).
  • Preferred multicultural work experience.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement methodologies and mindsets such as Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, WCM (e.g., Carlsberg Excellence Way of Working).
  • Knowledge and application of beverage industry operational and technical standards (e.g., COM).
  • Experience with packaging automation, equipment, and cost optimization is a plus.

Language

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Job Responsibilities

Carlsberg Operating Manual

  • Coordinate the Global COM Work Group for designated technology, process, and performance enhancements to continuously improve standards with global inputs.
  • Develop inputs for Global Standards through good practices and lessons learned from various regions.
  • Oversee the best practice "lift-and-shift" process for defined technology across regions.
  • Create implementation guides, tools, and programs to assist breweries in adhering to COM standards and improving performance.
  • Facilitate capability building in breweries by deploying standards, tools, and programs, conducting COM compliance audits, and tracking implementation of identified gaps.
  • Review regional self-assessments related to performance gaps and opportunities.

Technical Expertise

  • Possess a deep understanding of various packaging processes and machinery (e.g., blowing, filling, labeling, packing) alongside troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
  • Define packaging operation and performance standards, as well as maintenance technical processes (PET, Can, Glass).
  • Recognized as a technical expert in equipment maintenance and processes or operational expert in packaging line management and performance delivery.
  • Focus on improving the technical condition of machines and experience with AM/PM/FI/T&D pillars of TPM.
  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements aimed at cost reduction, OEE%, and safety.
  • Enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE%) through data-driven decision-making, evaluating capacity utilization, SKU complexity, and process optimization via Carlsberg Excellence Tools.
  • Ability to understand and coach key advanced packaging methodologies such as LBO and Pit-Stop.

Value Engineering

  • Support the qualification of specific agreed new materials in the supply chain/procurement—cans, bottles, etc.—in relation to various technology operating windows concerning speeds and lightweights.
  • Assist in performance acceptance needs between group procurement materials strategy and machines prior to introduction.
  • Evaluate capacity utilization and SKU complexity to set OEE% targets and eliminate non-value-added expenditures.

Functional Interlinks

  • Implement EHS permit-to-work processes alongside audit system development and application.
  • Manage the MRO process, including the proving and qualification of new suppliers’ engineering inputs, consumption cycles, and material integrity.
  • Participate in excellence audits as part of a global team reviewing plants for maintenance efficiency and effectiveness within the PM pillar.
  • Collaborate with packaging, excellence, and HR to develop standard global skills matrices for machinery.
