Job Overview
This role involves a comprehensive focus on the Outdoor footwear product line, which includes trail running, hiking, and city-inspired outdoor products. From product briefing to market insights, color stories, and sales pitches, this position encapsulates it all. It also requires strategic collaboration across apparel and other essential verticals critical for the product line's success.
The Senior Lead will report directly to the Director of Product Outdoor on the Global Product Strategy team.
Your Mission
- Create world-class product briefs that balance consumer/athlete targets, key business metrics, storytelling & inspiration, and competitor analysis that align with the broader Outdoor strategy.
- Develop refined 365 color, graphic, and material briefs in line with seasonal business objectives.
- Own the seasonal product roadmap and manage the complete execution of inline product releases from concept to market.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the active outdoor marketplace, particularly footwear, with an acute awareness of macro shifts, regional insights, industry-defining innovations, and mass market trends.
- Lead, align, and collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Innovation, Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations to ensure seamless and timely execution of the inline collection.
- Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships across regions to share insights, organize team travel and inspiration trips, and craft compelling storytelling from the consumer's perspective.
- Analyze global product performance and commercial metrics, converting sell-through data and consumer feedback into actionable insights for continuous improvement and future category planning.
Your Story
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing the end-to-end product lifecycle for a major brand's product line; footwear and outdoor product experience is advantageous (e.g., trail running, hiking, city-inspired products).
- 3+ years of experience in integrating creative consumer insights and storytelling into a structured 3-5 year long-range strategic product plan (LRP).
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, particularly in conveying complex product strategies to executive leadership (C-level), global regional teams, and external business accounts.
- Possess a recognized, detail-oriented "product eye" with experience in identifying and implementing micro-innovations that enhance consumer experience, value, and product performance.
- Proven ability to work with excellence and rigor in a fast-paced, ever-evolving product environment while prioritizing and maintaining the greater Outdoor Footwear strategy.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
