In Short

On is seeking a strategic and hands-on manufacturing leader to spearhead our global expansion. You will be the architect of our future production landscape, building state-of-the-art, automated factories from the ground up, centered on our revolutionary Lightspray™ technology. This is your mission to redefine how high-performance sportswear is made, bringing production closer to our customers and setting new industry standards for speed, quality, and sustainability.

Your Mission

  • Take complete ownership of new factory builds, guiding them from initial site selection and design through to fully stabilized, high-volume production.
  • Serve as the driving force behind On’s strategic nearshoring initiative, establishing advanced manufacturing hubs that bring our proprietary Lightspray™ technology to key global markets.
  • Translate the master Lightspray™ engineering blueprint and overarching business goals into precise technical specifications for each new site.
  • Masterfully develop and command the project's key variables—timelines, budgets, and resource plans—to ensure we deliver on time and within scope.
  • Act as the central nexus for collaboration, aligning cross-functional teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, and local partners on the critical technical and infrastructure requirements for each facility.
  • Become the go-to technical leader on the ground during construction and commissioning, proactively identifying and dismantling complex engineering and logistical roadblocks.
  • Build and foster strategic partnerships with key suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring unwavering business alignment and the on-time, in-full delivery of our production capabilities.
  • Uphold On’s legacy of excellence by ensuring every new facility meets our uncompromising standards for quality, sustainability, and operational performance.

Your Story

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or a related Engineering field. A background in Business Administration is a welcome addition.
  • You have a distinguished track record in a senior engineering or manufacturing capacity, with deep, hands-on experience bringing new manufacturing sites to life from concept to reality.
  • Your project management skills are second to none, demonstrated by your experience leading large-scale, international capital projects to successful completion. PMP certification is a strong plus.
  • You possess a continuous improvement mindset, fluently applying Lean methodologies like Six Sigma and Kaizen to drive efficiency and operational excellence.
  • You are a master troubleshooter, combining expert-level problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to systematically overcome any obstacle in your path.
  • You are a true strategist, capable of building and executing on a long-term vision while masterfully managing the immediate needs of complex projects.
  • You are an exceptional communicator and leader, able to inspire, influence, and align teams across diverse cultures and time zones.
  • Your background ideally includes direct experience with the technologies that power our future: automation, robotics, and plastics manufacturing.
  • You are fluent in English, our global language of collaboration.
  • You have a passion for global work and are ready to travel extensively to our international project sites.
