We are looking for a passionate Senior Lead - Development Manager, Special Projects to help shape the future of On’s Global Real Estate + Development team from our Headquarters in Zurich.
The Senior Lead - Development Manager, Special Projects is a dynamic and strategic role within the Global Strategic Initiatives team. This position is responsible for the strategic development, elevated decision-making, and end-to-end execution of high-profile initiatives that have a global impact. Acting as the driving force, this role will spearhead complex projects within the Real Estate portfolio, making high-stakes decisions with brand-wide implications, often under pressure and in uncertainty. Furthermore, this individual will critically analyze project outcomes to create standardized playbooks and best practices for future Special Projects, documenting key learnings, optimizing processes, and establishing clear frameworks for subsequent initiatives.
Your Mission
- Strategic Execution: Operate within the strategic vision and execute Special Projects that explore new territories, pushing the boundaries of the brand's capabilities.

Your Story
- Project Experience (10+ Years): Demonstrated experience in architecture and construction, with a focus on managing complex projects such as retail and workplace developments.
- Elevated Decision-Making: Proven ability to make complex decisions that can affect the entire brand, often under challenging conditions.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills and a knack for collaborating with diverse stakeholders while managing expectations effectively.
- Strategic Global Partnerships: Extensive experience in driving strategic partnerships and providing direction, mentorship, and support to cross-functional teams.
- Novel Problem-Solving: Ability to identify systemic challenges and deliver scalable solutions to new-to-brand obstacles.
- Calculated Risk Management: Experience in analyzing strategic options and executing comprehensive plans that facilitate innovation.
- Innovation & Adaptability: Comfortable leading high-profile projects that require exploring new approaches and operating outside established norms.
- Design & Organizational Skills: Strong appreciation for design aesthetics, coupled with the ability to manage multiple projects and maintain meticulous records.
- Language: Fluent in English; proficiency in another language is a plus.
- Travel: Willingness and ability to travel globally as needed.
