We are seeking a Senior Lead - Development Manager, Special Projects to help shape the future of On’s Global Real Estate + Development team from our Headquarters in Zurich.

The Senior Lead - Development Manager, Special Projects is an influential and strategic role within the Global Strategic Initiatives team. This position is responsible for the strategic development, critical decision-making, and end-to-end execution of high-profile, globally impactful initiatives. Acting as the driving force behind complex projects within the Real Estate portfolio, you will adeptly handle high-stakes decisions that have brand-wide implications, often under pressure and uncertainty. In addition to execution, you will critically analyze project outcomes to create standardized playbooks and best practices for future Special Projects, documenting key learnings, optimizing processes, and establishing clear frameworks.

Your Mission

  • Strategic Execution: Align and execute the strategic vision for Special Projects by exploring new territories and embracing initiatives that expand the brand's capabilities and environment.

Your Story

  • Project Experience (10+ Years): Proven experience in architecture and construction, particularly in managing complex projects (retail, workplace, etc.), with direct involvement in design development and construction administration.
  • Elevated Decision-Making: Comfortable making complex, high-stakes decisions with far-reaching effects, often in high-pressure environments.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and manage expectations.
  • Strategic Global Partnerships: Extensive experience in fostering strategic partnerships and providing confident direction, mentorship, and support to cross-functional teams.
  • Novel Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify underlying systemic blockers and provide creative, scalable solutions to new challenges.
  • Calculated Risk Management: Strong skills in analyzing strategic options, forming comprehensive action plans, and managing calculated risks that drive innovation.
  • Innovation & Adaptability: Experienced in leading high-profile Special Projects that require exploration of new approaches and operating outside of established norms.
  • Design & Organizational Skills: A keen appreciation for design combined with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while keeping detailed records.
  • Language: Fluent in English with robust written and verbal communication skills; fluency in another language is a plus.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel globally as needed.
