Your Impact

Primary Job Function: As a member of the FP&A team, the Senior Financial Analyst will partner to lead the Abbott EPD financials by running the planning process and generating insights into our markets and affiliates. He/She will be accountable for the quality and timeliness of the financial reports and submissions, will lead ad-hoc financial analysis, and will play an active role in maintaining and improving the FP&A processes.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial data and lead the EPD planning process
  • Organize data into accessible reports and perform various types of analysis using key metrics; prepare periodic management reports
  • Take a key role in RLBE preparation
  • Provide financial models and forecasting

Position Accountability/Scope:

  • Lead the EPD planning process, including preparation of guidance and tools, actively communicate with key stakeholders, and anticipate challenges and opportunities
  • Generate specific financial reports (such as EPD vs. Market, Price, Investor Relations, and Board of Directors) providing insights for stakeholders
  • Consolidate and analyze financial data, ensuring the accurate and timely submission of management packages and corporate templates
  • Prepare financial models and generate ad-hoc analysis as required by senior management, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of the financial information provided
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation and continuous improvement of standard reports and tools

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or an equivalent field. An MBA degree is an asset.

Requirements for the Job:

  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, or other related fields
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong numerical reasoning
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence in a matrix organization and at the senior management level
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a keen eye on meeting deadlines
  • A critical thinker, highly collaborative, and able to work cross-functionally
  • Work efficiently and independently
  • Very good command of written and spoken English
