We are enhancing audience experiences, strengthening production quality, and infusing fresh ideas into our event design and delivery. To support this initiative, we are seeking a Senior Events Manager with an impressive background in modern event production across various formats.
What You Will Do
- Act as the day-to-day lead for Group Events, reporting to the Head of Events; guide delivery across formats and support the team through coaching and clear direction.
- Own end-to-end planning and execution for internal and external events, shaping concepts with stakeholders, building run-of-show plans, and serving as the main point of contact.
- Enhance audience experience and production quality by introducing innovative formats, creative flow, digital storytelling, and sustainable event practices.
- Lead delivery from briefing to post-event evaluation, coordinating cross-functional teams and agencies for larger productions.
- Manage partners, budgets, timelines, and the events calendar; brief and guide external suppliers and production partners to achieve high-quality results within budget.
- Deliver complex events across live, hybrid, and virtual formats (including livestreams/webcasts), managing attendee journeys, speaker support, venues, suppliers, contracts, and on-site/show calling.
- Ensure stakeholder alignment through clear project communication and documentation across internal teams, clients, and vendors.
- Report on event status and outcomes; capture learnings and continuously improve formats, processes, and audience feedback loops.
- Manage the event technology and tools used to deliver our events (e.g., Cvent and our Global ME database) and collaborate with colleagues and vendors on registration, event apps, streaming, and production workflows.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience in delivering corporate events, with confidence in live, hybrid, and digital formats, large and small.
- Strong program/project management skills, including budgeting, vendor management, and stakeholder management; proficiency in agile working methods.
- Hands-on expertise with event technologies, particularly Cvent and enterprise event databases; quick to learn new tools.
- Proven success in delivering complex virtual and hybrid events, with a focus on audience experience and production quality.
- A practical understanding of sustainable event management.
- Comfort in partnering with senior executives and diverse stakeholders in an international environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English (and German), enabling clear briefings, advice, and presentations to speakers, senior stakeholders, and production partners.
- A robust network of event, AV/broadcast, and multimedia production partners and suppliers, offering best practice experience for cutting-edge creative productions.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 (especially Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook).
