Senior Event Marketing Manager
The Senior Event Marketing Manager plays a critical role in creating and executing strategic, high-impact marketing campaigns designed to exceed the objectives of various FIFA Competitions, including the FIFA World Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and FIFA Champions Cup. This position will emphasize women's tournaments, working closely with FIFA’s local subsidiaries or tournament organizing committees.
Main Activities
- Define, lead, and manage comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) multi-channel marketing plans in collaboration with digital marketing, ticketing, communications, and BI teams to support strategic goals that drive awareness, attendance, engagement, and retention for assigned FIFA Competitions.
- Provide strategic direction and consultancy for competition stakeholders, including ticketing, hospitality, licensing & retail, broadcast services, as well as media, sponsors, local FIFA subsidiaries, organizing committees, and host cities.
- Mentor and train project teams, including marketing specialists, to enhance team capabilities.
- Develop and facilitate tactical and long-term strategic promotional partnerships with partners and third parties for mutual benefit.
- Create clear, concise, and inspirational briefs for key support functions, freelancers, agencies, and team members.
- Oversee the launch of major brand assets, such as tournament logos, mascots, posters, and anthems, as well as manage global and localized awareness and sales campaigns related to the tournaments.
- Provide strategic input into Influencer and AAA Talent Management programs.
- Become adept in milestone planning for FIFA events, challenging traditional norms with innovative marketing concepts to ensure enhanced reach and data capture.
- Engage and inspire fans and consumers with FIFA’s event products, bespoke events, and associated brands.
- Deliver timely and accurate information to stakeholders regarding promotional and marketing events, while optimizing opportunities.
- Identify, define, communicate, and monitor KPIs.
- Establish and cultivate relationships with key event organizers and relevant internal and external stakeholders, providing operational support for Event Marketing initiatives when necessary.
- Guide and manage marketing consultants and agencies, overseeing project budgets and vendor relationships to maximize ROI.
- Support FIFA’s local subsidiaries or tournament organizing committees, where applicable.
- Set best-in-class standards and processes that will guide and inspire future tournaments and events.

Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Demonstrable marketing expertise, preferably within the sports or entertainment industry.
- Solid understanding of the media landscape.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Marketing/Communications role or other relevant position.
- Proven track record in managing complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in the Sports, Events, or Entertainment industry (in-house or agency) is advantageous.
Languages
- Fluency in English, with excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
Technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based productivity tools.
- Familiarity with project management tools.
Additional Information
- Willingness to travel extensively and regularly, especially during defined tournament periods.
- Readiness for standby duties during tournaments or promotional events.
