Job Opportunity: Senior QA Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer for our international client. In this role, you will support the client in maintaining and enhancing their automated JAVA framework while driving their quality assurance strategy across multiple platforms, frameworks, and teams.

Your responsibility will be to ensure quality across APIs, integrations, and event-driven systems by designing robust automated tests, validating complex business flows, and collaborating closely with developers throughout the software delivery lifecycle. Proficiency with Cucumber, Rest APIs, and JAVA frameworks is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests across APIs and integrations.
• Maintain and enhance the client's automated JAVA framework, including reusable testing utilities and engineering standards.
• Support the client in driving their quality assurance strategy across multiple platforms, frameworks, and teams.
• Drive QA excellence within the organization.
• Script APIs and conduct functional testing of APIs, validating API contracts, message transformations, and payload mappings.
• Act as the owner of the testing framework, delivering enterprise-wide quality improvements.
• Collaborate effectively with developers, analysts, and product owners.
• Support CI/CD pipelines by ensuring automated tests are reliable, maintainable, and suitable for continuous delivery.
• Identify quality risks and investigate defects.

Requirements:

• Significant project experience as a Senior QA Engineer.
• Focus on JAVA frameworks and JAVA development.
• Extensive experience in API and integration testing.
• Project experience in API automation using RestAssured.
• Experience in building and maintaining automated test suites.
• Hands-on experience with Cucumber and BDD methodologies.
• Strong familiarity with JSON and XML.
• Experience using Git and Maven/Gradle.
• Agile/Scrum experience with a focus on DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Preferred: Experience testing distributed or event-driven systems.
• Highly beneficial: Familiarity with Kafka, Confluent, Kong, or Databricks.
• Project experience with JMeter is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience working in large international organizations.

• Duration: 2 months (with the prospect of 3-month quarterly rolling contracts)
