Job opportunity
Flight computers, radios, and payload processors only perform as well as the software stack sitting closest to the metal. Our client is a rapidly advancing national security satellite company where engineers tackle real-world challenges from the first power-on to on-orbit operations. They are in search of a Senior Embedded Linux Engineer who can take full ownership of avionics bring-up. If you reside at the intersection of hardware and software and aspire for your work to soar, this role is an excellent fit for you.
You will lead Linux bring-up for new avionics hardware, managing the board support package, custom kernel work, device trees, bootloaders, and the low-level drivers that expose hardware to the OS. Additionally, you will define and build the infrastructure used to deploy and validate these systems across flight computers, radios, and payload processors. Your role will also include creating internal tools to support rapid hardware debugging in the lab and on the production floor. You will represent software and firmware concerns in cross-disciplinary product development and communicate technical risks and integration statuses clearly to program teams.
