Currently, Abbott's Established Pharmaceutical Division (EPD) is seeking a Senior Distribution Specialist for its global Pharma Division Headquarters located in Allschwil-Basel.

Primary Job Function
- Global Distribution Routes Coordination: Facilitate the implementation of new distribution routes, ensuring readiness for both cold chain and ambient temperature logistics. Maintain effective physical distribution processes to support regulatory dossier submissions and quality requirements.
- Implementation and Optimization: Oversee and verify that distribution design projects, such as warehouse transfers and new hubs, are executed efficiently and accurately.
- Compliance and Customer Satisfaction: Align logistics processes with customer expectations while adhering to internal and external regulations (including quality, regulatory, and GMP/GDP) in a cost-effective manner. Ensure systems are well-aligned.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global distribution routes, facilitating communication around the global distribution design.
- Coordinate and execute strategic logistics programs, supporting the global EPD distribution of goods, which includes qualifications for initial routes and sample shipments.
- Provide leadership and support for execution in distribution-related projects.
- Assist in strategic logistics planning, aiming to reduce costs and process variations through the development and application of effective tools and strategies.
- Monitor market and geopolitical situations to identify risks, recommend mitigations, and coordinate implementation efforts.
- Administer all SOPs related to Transport and Warehouse from an execution standpoint, coordinating updates and training for key stakeholders.
- Review quality documentation related to transport and warehouse, providing actionable recommendations.
Minimum Experience / Training Required
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field, with an emphasis on Customs & Trade compliance in logistics within the pharmaceutical sector.
- 5-10 years of experience in the distribution and transportation of pharmaceutical products.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP ECC and proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Power BI, etc.).

- Proactive communication and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, adept at managing agendas in rapidly changing and complex environments.
- Agility to work efficiently under deadline-driven pressures while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple, unrelated projects simultaneously with skillful prioritization.
- Strong influencing skills, capable of navigating cross-functional relationships and effectively managing projects at various levels of the organization.
- Fluency in English (both oral and written); proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
