Become a key player at dsm-firmenich as the Senior Director of Innovation & Science in our Dietary Supplements segment. Based in Kaiseraugst, you will lead a dedicated team of six experts, drive an impactful innovation pipeline, and oversee preclinical and clinical studies as well as scientific experimentation. Your role will involve translating breakthrough science into compelling concepts and claims, supporting advocacy efforts, and collaborating with commercial teams to successfully bring innovations to market.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Govern and steer the innovation pipeline, ensuring effective project management of all innovation initiatives in alignment with stage-gate principles.
• Lead research and scientific creation by collaborating with internal laboratories and external partners, closely working with Marketing to translate science into compelling, consumer-relevant messages.
• Shape strategy as a key partner to the Marketing Segment Lead, co-designing the innovation pipeline and growth plans; engaging with regions to capture needs and identify opportunities for value creation.
• Drive external engagement with customers and research partners, providing strong technical and scientific support to enable activation and business development.
• Lead and develop the team of scientists and innovation managers, fostering cross-functional collaboration to deliver projects and drive the innovation pipeline.

You Bring:

• A strong sense of accountability with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach - you take initiative, share your perspective, and drive execution with a focus on what truly matters.

• Proven leadership capabilities, with at least 10 years of experience in a comparable health & nutrition role.
• Strong technical and commercial acumen, supported by a PhD in Science and the ability to translate customer and regional needs into scientific projects and work plans.
• A deep understanding of the Dietary Supplements market, its trends, and strategies for establishing a compelling right-to-win based on scientific and technical differentiation.
