Job Title: Senior Director, Global Talent Acquisition – Trading and Financial Markets
The Senior Director, Global Talent Acquisition for Trading and Financial Markets is a highly strategic role responsible for leading the recruiting team in sourcing and acquiring top talent globally within the trading and financial markets sector. This position focuses on developing and executing complex strategies aimed at attracting and hiring elite professionals, ranging from early career roles to senior-level positions.
This strategic and forward-thinking role requires extensive experience in talent acquisition within the trading and financial markets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building strong relationships with business leaders, hiring managers, candidates, and colleagues across the HR spectrum. A high level of adaptability in ambiguous situations and the ability to influence a large global team will be critical for success. You will be responsible for fostering top-tier recruiting capabilities and advisory functions within your team.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop a comprehensive global talent acquisition strategy to attract, source, and hire top-tier trading and financial markets professionals for the company at all levels.
- Lead the sourcing strategy to attract elite talent, defining methods, developing tools, and ensuring global cohesion through proactive sourcing, recruitment marketing, employer branding, and diversity initiatives.
- Identify and implement effective recruitment channels and techniques, such as social media, networking events, and industry partnerships to attract passive candidates.
- Enhance the end-to-end talent acquisition processes and technology to improve candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection while ensuring a positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
- Collaborate with the Total Rewards team on compensation strategies to ensure our offers remain competitive and monitor industry trends.
- Partner with the global employer brand team to create and execute innovative talent attraction strategies, messaging, and campaigns.
- Oversee hiring strategies for both early career and executive roles to ensure cohesive goals and successful outcomes.
- Develop, report, and assess metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of talent acquisition efforts, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Provide strategic leadership in talent management for direct reports, including resource forecasting, recruitment, performance management, and budgeting.
- Coordinate with procurement and legal teams to establish the right partnerships for effective talent sourcing and marketing strategies.
- Act as the Global Talent Acquisition Leadership Partner for the Ag and Trading Enterprise, collaborating closely with the SVP of Human Resources for Ag and Trading.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in global talent acquisition strategy, candidate pipeline development, and a variety of talent attraction and engagement methods.
- Experience with recruitment technology and talent acquisition tools.
- A minimum of eight years of relevant work experience, including five years in a supervisory role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Over eight years of experience in high-performing trading and financial markets talent acquisition teams.
- Five or more years of leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to build engaged global teams.
- Human resources or talent management certifications.
- Demonstrated success in executing global talent acquisition strategies and pipeline development across various engagement methods and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with candidates and senior leaders.
- Experience in leading major workforce transformations or specialized hiring projects.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in recruitment practices.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR technology tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic global environment and quickly adapt to changing priorities.
- Skilled in leveraging data to define, measure, and improve performance metrics, developing actionable strategies based on insights.
