About the Role
As the Senior Director for Global Mission Integration in Defense and Intelligence, you will play a pivotal role in the Global Defense & Security team. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating across various sectors of the business, working alongside architects, product managers, and sales leads to position Oracle as a customer-centric organization that delivers enhanced value to Defense and Intelligence agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and influence strategic initiatives across global Defense customers by leveraging your expertise in Oracle technology.
- Enhance customer engagement using your operational experience in multi-domain combined and joint operations.
- Articulate commercial technology applications within the Defense sector, guiding future capability development.
- Engage effectively with industry stakeholders, showcasing Oracle's capabilities and their integration within US and Allied operations.
- Build robust relationships with executives across leading Defense & Security organizations.
- Collaborate with Oracle Sales leads to develop opportunities within the strategic Defense & Security market.
- Lead the development of a go-to-market strategy in conjunction with Client Directors.
- Facilitate high-quality bids to increase penetration in the Defense Industry's strategic client base.
- Support cross-LOB bid teams with senior experts to drive significant technology opportunities.
- Identify and lead strategic engagements with key Defense & Security clients to enhance satisfaction and opportunities for Oracle.
- Deliver thought-provoking proposals to foster long-term business relationships with customers.
- Continuously innovate to present new investment opportunities and potential areas for growth.
- Conduct cross-functional discovery sessions to define key business value drivers.
- Author thought leadership content regarding cloud benefits, industry solutions, and other pertinent topics.
- Serve as a Global Defense subject matter expert during account planning sessions and quarterly business reviews.
- Create targeted collateral and thought leadership content, including white papers and social media posts, that highlight Oracle's value in Defense.
- Embrace a customer-first mindset, focusing on their challenges rather than just our solutions.
- Provide insights into client operations and decision-making processes.
- Exhibit exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues.
What You'll Bring
- 16-20 years of experience leading organizations with a focus on the Defense & Security sector (military, management consulting, systems integration, or prominent Defense organizations).
- Experience in large transformational projects, ideally directing multinational and inter-agency operations.
- Understanding of Defense strategy formulation and operational planning.
- Familiarity with Defense Capability development and procurement policy.
- Essential understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure; knowledge of Dedicated Region (DRCC) and Oracle National Security Regions (ONSR) is advantageous.
- Passion for digital solutions and cloud adoption within the industry.
- Flexibility and influence, with an action-oriented approach towards excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to gain trust at the C-suite and senior management levels.
- Strong capability to analyze and interpret market data.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
- A knack for engaging and motivating virtual teams while managing various work streams simultaneously.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of an additional language is beneficial.
- Deep experience within Defense organizations or National Security authorities.
- Extensive networks at MODs and National Security Agencies.
- Possession of a local security clearance or ability to obtain one promptly.
Frequent international travel is a requirement for this role.
