Our Opportunity:

The Senior Director of Franchising & Profitability, EMEA, will play a pivotal role in driving the expansion of the Burger King and Popeyes brands across RBI’s EMEA market. This position will focus on establishing Master Franchise Development Agreements (MFDAs) with both new and existing partners, positioning RBI to achieve its long-term growth ambitions. You will lead a dynamic team, identify potential partners, present our brands to investors, negotiate agreements, and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to guide deals from inception to successful execution. This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership, reporting directly to the Regional President for EMEA, while fostering relationships with various functional and brand teams.

RBI operates on a 5-day, in-office work schedule to promote collaboration, and candidates should be comfortable with this arrangement.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing external investors and operators to establish long-term master franchise partnerships within the RBI system.
  • Developing investment cases and business plans for new market entries.
  • Overseeing presentations to potential investors, leading a team from origination through to documentation negotiation.
  • Leading negotiations for master franchise development agreements with potential investors, in close collaboration with internal and external legal counsel.
  • Assisting internal business, legal, tax, and accounting teams to facilitate the investor due diligence process.
  • Guiding the RBI development team in yearly strategic priorities and general and administrative budget setting.
  • Driving profitability improvement initiatives for our existing franchisee partners.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years of professional experience, with a focus on investment banking, consultancy, and/or M&A execution.
  • A bachelor's degree is required; an MBA will be considered an asset.
  • Experience in the EMEA region is essential.
  • Prior exposure to the franchising business model and/or the Quick Service Restaurant industry is advantageous.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Strong communication abilities to collaborate across all functions within RBI brands and to establish relationships with investors/operators from diverse backgrounds, while engaging with senior RBI leadership.
  • A high level of curiosity and interest in all areas of the business along with major industry trends.
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and conceptual skills.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the autonomy and responsibility to build the International Development business.
  • Capability to articulate financial and investment concepts, build consensus, and think creatively.
  • Proficient in influencing key decision-makers and overcoming obstacles in complex projects.
