Our Opportunity

The Sr. Director, Franchising & Profitability, EMEA will spearhead RBI's mission to expand the Burger King and Popeyes brands across the EMEA region. This role involves establishing Master Franchise Development Agreements (MFDAs) with both new and existing partners, playing a crucial role in achieving RBI's long-term expansion goals.

The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team, identify potential partners, pitch our brands to investors, negotiate agreements, and collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to guide deals from inception to completion. This position offers significant exposure to senior leadership, reporting directly to the Regional President EMEA, and will require the ability to forge strong relationships with various functional and brand teams.

Please note that RBI operates on a five-day in-office work schedule to foster collaboration. Candidates should be comfortable working on-site five days a week.

Your Roles and Responsibilities

  • Sourcing external investors and operators to join the RBI system as long-term master franchise partners.
  • Building investment cases and business plans for new market entries.
  • Overseeing pitches to potential investors, leading a team through the process from origination to documentation negotiation.
  • Leading master franchise development agreement negotiations with potential investors, collaborating closely with internal and external legal counsel.
  • Cooperating with internal business, legal, tax, and accounting teams to assist with the investor diligence process.
  • Guiding the RBI development team’s annual strategic priorities and general & administrative budget setting.
  • Driving profitability improvement initiatives for our existing franchisee partners.

Your Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years of professional experience, preferably in investment banking, consultancy, or M&A execution.
  • A bachelor's degree is required; an MBA will be considered an asset.
  • Previous working experience in the EMEA region is essential.
  • Experience in the franchising business model and/or Quick Service Restaurant industry is advantageous.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills — capable of collaborating with all functions across RBI brands, building relationships with diverse investors/operators, and engaging with senior RBI leadership.
  • A high level of curiosity — demonstrating interest in various business areas and key industry trends.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and conceptual skills.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset — offering a high level of freedom and responsibility in developing the International Development business.
  • Ability to articulate financial and investment concepts, foster consensus, and think creatively.
  • Proven capability to influence key decision-makers and navigate complexities to drive projects forward.
