Core Responsibilities
As part of our dynamic team, your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities critical to our operational success:
- Develop and implement capital outlay strategies for the region in collaboration with the senior management team, focusing on Capex optimization. Ensure that the Local Development Plans (LDPs) align with the company's strategic direction, contributing to the overall Capex plan and execution, as well as the foundations of Carlsberg Excellence and our Decarbonization Strategy. This includes addressing commercial and business needs such as product portfolio changes, managing regional asset obsolescence, enhancing brewery infrastructure, and ensuring business continuity through effective Asset Risk Management.
- Drive the closure of performance gaps and foster continuous improvement of Engineering KPIs by effectively utilizing Carlsberg Excellence methodologies. Focus on optimizing engineering costs and operations while promoting automation and Operational Technology (OT) practices. Regularly review best practices and past failures with the aim of enhancing cost efficiency and overall performance.
- Facilitate the introduction of new materials, technologies, and equipment into operations to meet business-driven needs for the development of new products efficiently and effectively.
- Be present on the shop floor to prioritize personal engagement through Gemba Walks, coaching, mentoring, and collaborating with team members regularly.
- Support the capability building of core shop floor teams by ensuring the transfer of Early Equipment Management knowledge, problem-solving skills, and cost ownership principles.
- Contribute to the development of the regional Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) strategy as a member of the regional ISC leadership team.
- Drive and implement Group and Regional Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) strategies within the engineering function.
- Ensure that all Carlsberg standard methods, tools, and processes are executed in alignment with regional and global agreements.
- Actively engage as part of the regional and global engineering best practice community.
- Develop and enhance the skills of local and regional engineering teams in the areas of project management and operational technology, in line with company guidelines, under the Triple A and Compass frameworks. Ensure competencies and skills are advanced to align with the established ISC vision.
