Company Overview
RA Scale AG is an innovative ETH Zurich spin-off that has developed an AI-powered SaaS platform designed to automate tenders and supplier selection within the construction industry. Based in Zurich, our growing team of around 20 professionals is now expanding into Germany and Austria.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up, operating, and further developing the cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) for our SaaS platform.
- Planning and implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Administering and optimizing Kubernetes clusters (EKS/GKE).
- Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, TeamCity, or ArgoCD).
- Implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure system stability.
- Collaborating closely with software engineers and data scientists for performance optimization.
- Ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of production systems.
- Contributing to architecture and design decisions in close coordination with the CTO.
Requirements
- Several years of professional experience in DevOps or cloud engineering (AWS or GCP).
- Strong knowledge of Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.
- Experience in building and operating microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker), event-driven architectures, and monitoring tools.
- Programming skills in Python, Bash, or Node.js are a plus.
- Experience in leading or coordinating small engineering teams is advantageous.
- Deep understanding of infrastructure security and cloud governance.
- Excellent English skills (working language); proficiency in German is a plus.
Terms of Employment
- Permanent full-time position (100%).
- Location: Zurich (Sihlcity) or remote (within Europe).
- Start date: by agreement.
