Company Overview
RA Scale AG is an innovative spin-off from ETH Zurich, dedicated to developing an AI-powered SaaS platform that automates tenders and supplier selection within the construction industry. Based in Zurich, our team of approximately 20 professionals is currently expanding into Germany and Austria.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up, operating, and further developing the cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) for our SaaS platform.
- Planning and implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Administering and optimizing Kubernetes clusters (EKS/GKE).
- Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, TeamCity, or ArgoCD).
- Implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure system stability.
- Collaborating closely with software engineers and data scientists for performance optimization.
- Ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of our productive systems.
- Contributing to architecture and design decisions in close coordination with the CTO.
Requirements
- Several years of professional experience in DevOps or cloud engineering (AWS or GCP).
- Strong knowledge of Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.
- Experience in building and operating microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker), event-driven architectures, and monitoring tools.
- Programming skills in Python, Bash, or Node.js are a plus.
- Experience leading or coordinating small engineering teams is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure security and cloud governance.
- Proficient in English (working language); German is a plus.
Terms of Employment
- Permanent full-time position (100%).
- Location: Zurich (Sihlcity) or remote (within Europe).
- Start date: To be mutually agreed upon.
