Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Delivery Manager with expertise in the Insurance sector to enhance our Delivery Management Team. In this role, you will lead end-to-end client projects, closely collaborating with our Account Managers and teams in Business Development.
To thrive in this position, you should engage stakeholders effectively, work autonomously, and devise strategies that align with EPAM’s goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end client delivery process from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are delivered successfully and in accordance with EPAM processes.
- Manage client relationships and expectations, representing delivery at the project, program, and governance levels.
- Address client issues, identify and manage engagement risks, and ensure that clients fulfill their responsibilities.
- Coordinate the preparation of proposals and statements of work.
- Run multiple streams of activities and collaborate with client technical and business teams throughout different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Maintain accountability for all facets of delivery, including financial, sourcing, implementation, and regulatory compliance.
- Work in partnership with peers, delivery partners, technology consultants, account managers, and solution architects.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of product owners, architects, engineers, and quality assurance experts to develop estimates, delivery plans, and retrospectives, while proactively managing risks and flagging serious issues early.
- Engage in business development activities for both existing clients and new prospects. Understand client needs, identify new opportunities, and drive growth for your accounts.
- Lead and represent delivery in sales and presales activities until contracting and beyond, contributing to the growth of our business in the Insurance domain.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in consulting or outsourcing Account/Delivery/Project Management, with 3+ years in the Insurance domain.
- Hands-on experience delivering complex projects, managing client stakeholders at all levels, and effectively driving IT service engagements.
- Proficient in representing the company at external events.
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and various methodologies, with practical experience in agile delivery.
- Familiarity with different engagement models such as Time & Materials (T&M), Fixed Price (FP), and Fixed Terms.
- Solid grasp of Software Architecture designs and principles.
- Understanding of IT Service Management processes, engagement models, and best practices.
- Able to establish strong working relationships with clients and effectively collaborate as part of a dynamic, dispersed virtual team.
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English and German or French.
