Position Overview
As a Senior AI Data Product Analyst, you’ll sit at the heart of our AI platform. Your role isn’t to report on the product - it’s to shape what the product is capable of. You’ll co-own what we know about manufacturers, how that knowledge is structured, and how our agents reason over it to create real outcomes.
You’ll work hands-on with complex data, close to the product, collaborating directly with our CTO and AI Product Director. This is not a support or reporting function; this is a builder role, at the intersection of data, AI, and product.
What You'll Make Happen
- Design the Language of Manufacturing Intelligence: Define and extend the manufacturing ontology that powers Gieni’s AI agents, covering companies, facilities, machines, processes, materials, certifications, capacities, and the relationships that make them meaningful.
- Break Workflows into “Data Atoms”: Identify what an agent needs to shortlist prospects (spindle RPM, tonnage, certifications) and determine the signals that displace incumbent suppliers (OEM brand, machine age, utilization).
- Build and Evolve the Knowledge Graph: Ground our agents in structured, queryable manufacturing intelligence using Neo4j.
- Drive Vertical Expansion: Adapt methodologies from CNC machining to other sectors like injection molding, sheet metal, or additive manufacturing.
- Hunt Down Missing Data: Utilize third-party sources, API integrations, crawling extensions, or ML-based inference when direct data is unavailable.
- Define Success for Agent Workflows: Track outcomes with telemetry (LangSmith, PostHog) to evaluate effectiveness.
What Eases Your Start
- You’re not just data-literate - you’re AI-native with 5+ years of experience in product analytics, data science, or similar roles in B2B SaaS or AI-driven environments.
- Familiarity with tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and agentic workflows, making them part of your daily toolkit.
- Strong understanding of AI agents: tools, reasoning loops, grounding, context windows, and designing for them.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, with a hands-on approach to building solutions, not just analyzing data.
- Comfort with knowledge graphs, ontology design, and semantic data models.
- Experience with the Azure stack (Fabric, Synapse, OneLake, Azure ML, AI Search).
- You possess strong judgment on data relevance and how to derive usable intelligence from incomplete signals.
Additional Qualifications
You’ll stand out if you bring:
- Manufacturing domain experience
- Experience with embeddings/vector operations
- Data procurement expertise

Required: You must be a Swiss, EU, or EFTA citizen, or hold a valid Swiss work permit, and be able to work on-site in Zurich (full-time remote isn't possible).
