Senior Data Architect
The Senior Data Architect plays a crucial role in supporting our program by designing, implementing, and managing a scalable, secure, and high-performance data architecture. This position entails end-to-end ownership of data models, lifecycle management, integration of space-related data sources, and coordination with cross-functional architecture teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage the overall data architecture for the program.
- Build and maintain data models and structures for large-volume datasets.
- Integrate diverse data sources (e.g., satellite systems, ground stations) while developing required interfaces.
- Manage data across its full lifecycle, ensuring quality, security, and compliance standards are met.
- Implement systems and pipelines for efficient data processing and analytics.
- Ensure the scalability of the data environment to support future program growth.
- Guarantee high availability, performance, and reliability of the data infrastructure.
- Define data access policies and maintain protection against misuse of data.
- Collaborate with architecture teams to ensure alignment with system-wide requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Several years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or data management.
- Proven experience in space-related environments and Dev(Sec)Ops frameworks.
- Strong hands-on mentality with a proactive working style and high autonomy.
- Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate complex systems.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in managing stakeholders.
- EU or Swiss work permit and a clean background check (mandatory for security clearance).
- Business-fluent English; German is a plus.
