Job Title: Finance and Commercial Partner
In this role, you will serve as a trusted finance and commercial partner for the Service Division across assigned geographies and global topic areas. You will ensure full performance transparency and safeguard financial integrity across all reporting and decision-making processes.
Your support will enable effective business steering through the analysis and interpretation of financial data, evaluation of strategic and operational alternatives, and recommendation of the most suitable solutions. By improving existing tools and defining new data analysis and visualization requirements, you will strengthen both actuals and forward-looking analytics, fostering financial and commercial transparency to facilitate high-quality business decisions.
You will also act as the line manager for Country Finance Managers in your allocated countries, guiding them in achieving consistent standards and high-quality output. It is your responsibility to establish, maintain, and consistently enhance global standards, such as guidelines for risk, contract, and business reviews, ensuring their practical adoption.
Your Responsibilities:
- Strategy: Serve as a business partner to local and division senior leaders in financial and commercial matters. Actively contribute to yearly Business Review Meetings to drive local business performance and support global strategy.
- Leadership: Act as the Line Manager of Country Finance Managers from allocated geographies.
- Business Planning: Actively manage the yearly budgeting and quarterly forecasting process for allocated countries based on guidelines issued by the global process owner. Translate strategy into business plans, establish ambitious and measurable targets, evaluate financial implications of decisions, and initiate corrective actions.
- Performance Management and Decision Support: Monitor and analyze financial performance across multiple dimensions, delivering insights to support optimal decision-making. Drive financial transparency, optimize cost structures, enhance productivity, and ensure capital efficiency to maximize value creation.
- Commercial and Risk Management:
- Ensure that risk and contract reviews in allocated countries are executed in line with global policies and standards, acting as the deputy owner of global risk and contract review processes.
- Hold commercial ownership of the tender phase, ensuring full compliance with finance, business, trade compliance, and export control requirements.
- Analyze contract margins against standard transactional business, forecasts, and previous periods, ensuring high-quality and timely reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure the on-time provision of high-quality financial data in line with Group accounting principles (US-GAAP) for allocated countries.
- Accounting and Statutory Reporting: Guarantee timely preparation and filing of accurate statutory financial statements.
- Tax Compliance & Customs: Ensure accurate preparation and filing of tax returns in line with Group tax policies and local regulations.
- Compliance & Audits: Support coordination of external and internal audits and act as Secretary to the local Board of Directors.
- FX and Credit Lines: Own the global commercial value flows, including FX exposure and credit risk management processes.
- Others: Act as a finance project manager within the Service Division, providing financial and commercial training to staff and promoting commercial awareness.
Your Background:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics, or a globally recognized professional qualification.
- Minimum of 4 years of leadership experience, ideally in an international and remote context.
- At least 7 years of experience in commercial management, particularly commercial project controlling.
- Minimum of 4 years in Business Controlling or related functions.
- Strong knowledge of contractual and legal matters related to customer contracts.
- A proven ability to collaborate and succeed in an international work environment.
- Service-oriented mindset with a strong business acumen.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to quality.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- A collaborative, team-oriented personality with a strong capacity for driving change.
- Experienced in tool and process implementations.
- High proficiency in MS Excel, with experience in BW, SAC, Power BI, Power Query, and S4H being highly welcomed.
- Understanding of data structures with the ability to leverage AI and other tools to automate processes.
- Fluency in English.
