Make a meaningful impact in shaping the future of our financial services clients by integrating sustainability solutions across their business, investment, risk management, and reporting frameworks.

As a Consultant/Senior Consultant in our Sustainability team, you will play a crucial role in helping banks, insurers, asset managers, and other financial institutions address today's key challenges and navigate the complex sustainable finance regulatory environment. You will support our clients in incorporating sustainability into their daily operations and processes—from distribution and investment to risk management and reporting. Additionally, you will contribute to Deloitte's growth in the sustainable finance market through innovative and tailored go-to-market initiatives and propositions.

You Will Make an Impact By

  • Strategically guiding clients in the implementation of key regulatory requirements for sustainable finance (e.g., SFDR, AMAS self-regulations, FINMA requirements) and assisting with the integration of sustainability into their investment and risk management processes.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop methodologies for integrating sustainability risks into traditional financial risks faced by banks and insurers, with a focus on climate and nature risks.
  • Conducting research on a wide range of sustainability topics and trends relevant to banks, asset managers, investment firms, asset owners, and investment firms.
  • Enhancing quality and transparency by providing assurance on related engagements in the sustainable finance sector.
  • Effectively communicating with various stakeholders—including clients, team members, and senior management—to convey technical concepts clearly and translate complex models into actionable business decisions.
  • Actively supporting and contributing to the firm’s sustainable finance offerings and business development activities.

Who We Are Looking For

  • You are passionate about financial services and sustainability, eager to support financial institutions in aligning their strategies with sustainability goals.
  • You hold a Master's Degree in economics, management, finance, sustainable finance, or a related field.
  • You possess subject matter expertise in sustainable finance, with over two years of practical experience in the field.
  • You are familiar with key sustainable finance regulations (e.g., SFDR, FINMA circular on nature-related financial risks, AMAS self-regulation on transparency and disclosure for sustainability-related collective assets, SBA guidelines on the integration of ESG preferences and risks) and can assist with the technical and industry-specific aspects of these requirements.
  • You have experience with typical banking and investment processes; experience in risk management and risk modeling is an advantage.
  • You possess strong written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly communicate complex topics in both English and German.
