Role: Cloud Data Platform Engineer (GCP)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

Duration: Until the end of the year 2026

Required Experience

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Platform Engineer with the following qualifications:

Cloud & Platform Engineering:
- 8+ years of experience in building, scaling, and maintaining complex systems.
- 4+ years of experience in designing cloud and/or data platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage (GCS), IAM, Cloud Run, and networking.
- Expertise in Linux, Docker, and Bash scripting.
Infrastructure as Code & CI/CD:
- 3+ years of production experience with Terraform.
- Expert knowledge of GitHub Actions and CI/CD workflows.
- Experience in automating cloud deployments and operational processes.
Observability & Data:
- 3+ years of experience implementing enterprise monitoring solutions.
- Strong expertise in Dynatrace across infrastructure, applications, and data pipelines.
- Experience with JVM-based applications; knowledge of Spark is highly desirable.
- Understanding of data engineering and data science concepts.
Communication & Leadership:
- Excellent spoken and written English; Dutch is an advantage.
- Strong stakeholder communication and mentoring skills.
- Proactive, ownership-driven, and focused on quality and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to work on-site three days per week.
