Senior Manager - Contract - Warren, NJ & Armonk, NY
Proclinical is seeking a Senior Clinical Trial Supply Manager to lead the strategy behind clinical trial supply success. This role involves driving forecasting, distribution, and operational excellence across global development programs.
Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will oversee one or more clinical development programs, ensuring accurate forecasting of Investigational Product (IP) requirements and effective management of clinical supply distribution activities across multiple clinical trials. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading drug supply planning, including demand forecasting and alignment with clinical development timelines.
- Managing IP manufacturing, labeling, release, distribution, and return/destruction processes.
- Overseeing inventory tracking, resupply strategies, and expiry management for clinical supplies.
- Coordinating IP shipment orders to ensure timely delivery to investigator sites.
- Collaborating on the development and testing of Interactive Response Technologies (IRT) systems.
- Developing and overseeing strategies for drug return, destruction, and ancillary/comparator supplies.
- Providing input into study documents, training materials, and IP-related tools.
- Representing Clinical Drug Supply & Logistics in cross-functional study teams and regulatory inspections.
- Managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships for IP-related services.
- Tracking metrics, compiling reports, and providing updates to study teams and senior management.
- Mentoring junior staff and contributing to training and process improvement initiatives.
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degrees (MBA, PharmD, etc.) are a plus.
- Extensive experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on clinical supply management.
- Proficiency in supply planning, inventory management, and IRT systems.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and clinical trial processes.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and vendor management skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and cross-functional collaborations effectively.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
