Job Summary
The Clinical Sales Specialist (CSS) plays a vital role in the effective management of our sales regions. This position involves collaboration with Sales Representatives, Key Account Managers, and Regional Sales Managers to support hospitals and provide technical assistance to stakeholders within our customer base. The CSS ensures that the experience of using Zimmer Biomet products and services is seamless for the entire surgical team, consistently achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
Additionally, the CSS delivers tailored training to ensure that Surgeons and Scrub Staff are proficient in operating Zimmer Biomet products safely and efficiently, attending surgeries as needed to provide real-time support.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Offering technical advice in the operating room on Zimmer Biomet Recon & TDS products.
- Providing comprehensive training on the use of Zimmer Biomet products.
- Generating sales leads within Platinum & Silver customers.
- Managing logistics for procedure planning and consignment stock.
- Providing on-site support for product demonstrations and educational initiatives.
- Adhering to internal communication and documentation policies (QA).
- Following divisional sales strategies under the guidance of the Regional Sales Manager.
- Maintaining up-to-date information in SF.com for assigned accounts.
- Participating in sales meetings, exhibitions, and staff training as required by the Regional Sales Manager.
- Submitting a monthly performance report to the Regional Sales Manager, outlining activities and competitive situations.
Expected Areas of Competence
- Ability to adapt to different working practices as required by surgeons and hospitals while upholding Zimmer Biomet protocols.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the divisional product portfolio.
- Proficiency in training others effectively.
- Understanding of technical medical terminology and anatomy to engage with surgeons and theatre staff.
- Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
- Confident and engaging presentation skills.
- Capability to solve problems efficiently and promptly.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
- Strong networking abilities and sound business acumen for identifying, planning, and executing services.
- In-depth knowledge of Orthopedics, including competitors' products and strategies.
- Significant clinical expertise.
- Excellent presentation, customer-centric, relationship, and communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, target-oriented, and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in analysis and problem-solving.
- Team-oriented and eager to learn.
Travel Requirements
A full driving license is essential.
