The Position
As the Senior HR Business Partner, you will be a vital member of the People Team at KAYAK, providing partnership and guidance to leadership at all levels. This position involves collaborating on key global initiatives, where you will take ownership and accountability for your assigned business units while partnering effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery and strategic HR influence.
The Responsibilities
- Build trust-based relationships with executive leaders and people managers.
- Provide consultative advice and strategic partnership, along with coaching to all organizational levels.
- Consult with leaders to create comprehensive people plans aimed at driving lasting change across large functions.
- Strategically partner with the business to support growth through organizational design and planning while building accountability and delivering targeted solutions.
- Collaborate with People & Culture colleagues globally to develop programs and implement strategies that exceed company objectives and foster enduring change.
- Work closely with regional HR partners on global strategies and execution.
- Own cyclical HR processes, including engagement surveys, performance management, and merit cycle processes in collaboration with the P&C Programs team.
- Provide guidance and support to client organizations by working closely with the Compensation team.
- Collaborate with L&D to develop people-oriented programs that enhance management development.
- Engage with managers to cultivate their capability for building and leading effective teams.
- Identify and analyze trends from qualitative and quantitative data to enhance organizational health and inform decision-making.
- Address complex challenges to identify root causes and implement effective solutions across multiple disciplines.
- Participate in and lead projects as an integral member of the extended P&C community.
- Coach and mentor individuals on communication and teamwork while guiding junior team members.
- Foster a positive team environment by addressing dynamic challenges and driving meaningful change.
- Collaborate with globally distributed teams.
- This role may involve managing direct reports.
You Have:
- 6-8 years of experience as an HR professional with increasing responsibilities.
- Preferred experience in supporting a global organization across multiple locations.
- Proven ability to build solid relationships with managers, the People & Culture team, internal partners, and external vendors.
- Capacity to work independently and proactively in a high-performance environment.
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- A client service orientation, with a focus on meeting and anticipating client needs.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the daily challenges faced by the business.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to represent the People & Culture team effectively.
- The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Strong analytical and project management skills, with a detail-oriented yet flexible approach to problem-solving.
- A team player with a sense of urgency who can adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- A BA/BS degree and relevant experience that shows an ability to influence business outcomes through people.
