RA Scale AG is an ETH Zurich spin-off that develops an AI-powered SaaS platform designed to automate tenders and supplier selection within the construction industry. Based in Zurich, our company employs around 20 talented individuals and is currently expanding its operations into Germany and Austria.
Tasks
- Design and implementation of scalable backend services for our AI-powered SaaS platform
- Development of microservices and APIs utilizing Go, Python, or TypeScript
- Architecture and operation of distributed systems on cloud infrastructure (GCP)
- Optimization of performance, scalability, and system reliability
- Integration of data sources and development of interfaces for internal AI models
- Collaboration with front-end and DevOps teams on system design and deployment
- Responsibility for code quality, testing, and documentation
- Contribution to the long-term backend architecture and technical roadmap
Requirements
- Several years of professional experience as a backend or software engineer in a cloud environment
- Excellent knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: Python, C#, or Java
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and API design
- Proficient in handling databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, or comparable
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (GCP) and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of system architecture, scaling strategies, and observability
- High quality standards, a structured approach to work, and a passion for complex systems
- Strong English communication skills (working language); German is an advantage
