Your Skill Set

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in U.S. tax compliance.
  • U.S. CPA License (or in progress), Enrolled Agent License (or in progress), or a commitment to pursue one.
  • Interest in developing a career in U.S. Tax Compliance.
  • Experience with U.S. tax compliance, including work with U.S. corporate filings (Forms 1120, 1120-F) and/or U.S. partnerships (Form 1065).
  • Understanding of ECI, FDAP, and Branch Profit Tax concepts.
  • Familiarity with state and local tax compliance, including multi-state reporting considerations (Preferred but not required).
  • Exposure to informational reporting (Forms 8865, 8858, 5471) (Preferred but not required).
  • Hands-on experience with withholding and reporting regimes, including the 1042/1042-S series and W-8 documentation (W-8BEN, W-8BEN-E, etc.) (Preferred but not required).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with an ability to interpret tax rules and structures.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, including the skills to analyze financial statements, understand and reconcile journal entries, and review capital accounts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including experience with large datasets and preparing structured, efficient workpapers.
