Our Audit & Assurance Team is engaged in finance transformation and accounting advisory projects, delivering both internal and external audit engagements. We collaborate closely across all Service Lines at Deloitte to assist our diverse global clients in achieving their corporate goals, effectively managing risks, and enhancing business performance.

If you possess strong skills in insurance accounting and reporting, along with a solid audit or insurance industry background, and are eager to support our clients in navigating the complex challenges their finance teams face, we would be excited to have you on board.

What You Can Expect From Us

• You will advise clients on the implementation of internal control frameworks, finance transformation, and new International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS & US GAAP), particularly relevant to the Insurance Industry.
• You will assist clients in integrating new regulatory requirements and processes into their daily operations, preparing their systems by testing their capacity to harmonize existing and develop new reporting processes for financial and non-financial data in (re)insurance.
• You will conduct internal audits and FINMA regulatory assignments for Insurance and Reinsurance companies.
• You will prepare gap and data analyses, benchmarking, proposals, presentations, and industry-relevant publications.

Your Qualifications

• You are a PJ candidate or a certified auditor (e.g., Swiss CPA or ACCA) with at least 3-5 years of practical experience with IFRS and US GAAP in the financial services sector, particularly concerning insurance contracts and financial instruments.
• You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in external auditing in the insurance sector, ideally with one of the Big 4 firms, or a minimum of 4 years with an insurance company's accounting/reporting function.
• You are knowledgeable about the new IFRS 17 for insurance contracts and IFRS 9 for financial instruments and are enthusiastic about applying these standards in your daily work.
• You are a team player, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues from diverse areas and fostering strong client relationships.
• You communicate confidently in English and German; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
