As a Swiss-based international corporate real estate company, CornerstoneOne AG is dedicated to providing high-quality office space within the PSI CRO Group worldwide. Our expertise extends to developing utilization strategies, overseeing internal approvals, and managing purchases, sales, and rental agreements. We also take charge of organizing and managing construction and expansion projects—both on-site and remotely—while ensuring the smooth maintenance of our international portfolio of owned and leased properties. We are currently seeking a highly meticulous, analytical, and communicative professional for the position of Senior Accountant (40 - 60%).

Role Overview

The Senior Accountant will be entrusted with managing the financial activities of CornerstoneOne AG, ensuring accurate and timely closure of books, and consolidating the Group's financial statements. This role requires close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with Swiss GAAP and other applicable accounting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial accounting and the book-closing process for the Swiss entity, ensuring compliance with local regulations and Swiss GAAP.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Coordinate and manage audits efficiently.
  • Prepare timely payments.
  • Perform Group-level consolidation of financial statements, incorporating data from all entities.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with Swiss tax laws, VAT, and other regulatory requirements for the Swiss entity.
  • And other related duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in financial accounting and consolidation, preferably within the real estate or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss GAAP (IFRS knowledge is a plus).
  • Experience with consolidation software and ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Willingness and capability to travel internationally approximately 4 times a year.
