About the Security Team

Our mission is to ensure that Taurus adheres to the highest standards of information security, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience. Our Security team collaborates closely with both internal and external stakeholders to implement state-of-the-art security practices that facilitate business growth.

Position Overview: Security Officer

As a Security Officer, you will report directly to the Head of Security Compliance and play a vital role in the daily operations of our security program. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Defining, implementing, and maintaining internal security controls, processes, and monitoring activities.
  • Coordinating internal projects, roadmaps, and security initiatives, including audits, penetration tests, and resilience exercises.
  • Acting as a point of contact with clients and partners on security issues, including responding to due diligence requests.
  • Ensuring all security documentation, policies, and procedures are current and accurately maintained.
  • Engaging with other internal teams (Engineering, Operations, Legal) to gather insights and ensure alignment with the security program.
  • Overseeing the vendor risk management program, including assessments, onboarding, and monitoring of critical third parties.
  • Contributing to the incident response process, ensuring documentation and follow-up are managed effectively.
  • Tracking and reporting on security metrics and improvement plans to management.
  • Promoting a culture of security throughout the company by providing guidance, awareness, and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information security, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–6 years of experience in information security or in financial services, fintech, or regulated environments.
  • A solid understanding of fundamental security principles and associated technologies.
  • Experience in vendor risk management, audit coordination, or security assessments is a strong plus.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Integrity, autonomy, and a proactive attitude.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French or German is a significant advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Implementer/Auditor, or similar are beneficial but not mandatory.
