The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Science teacher for grades 9-12 who can engage and inspire learners through their passion and professional practice. The ideal candidate will possess significant IB Chemistry HL/SL and/or AP Chemistry experience. Experience in teaching Physics would be an added advantage. They should demonstrate flexibility and enthusiasm for collaborating with a team of dynamic, professional Science teachers to plan, deliver, and assess a concept-based, student-centered curriculum in a diverse international school environment. A Science teacher at ZIS will maintain high expectations for students and will be adept at differentiating content and instruction across all courses.

Requirements

Applicants should have at least 3 years of experience teaching Chemistry, preferably in an international school setting. For non-Swiss/EU applicants, international experience is required.

  • Teaching license, including specialization
  • Documented record of excellence in teaching
  • Experience with IB Chemistry HL/SL and/or AP Chemistry
  • Experience in teaching Physics would be an advantage
  • BA/BSc or equivalent university degree
  • Integration of technology into the curriculum

Job Requirements
