The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Science teacher for grades 9-12 who can engage and inspire learners through their passion and professional expertise. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in IB Chemistry HL/SL and/or AP Chemistry, with additional experience in teaching Physics considered an advantage. They will demonstrate flexibility and enthusiasm in collaborating with a team of dynamic, professional Science teachers to plan, deliver, and assess concept-based and student-centered curricula within a diverse international school setting. A Science teacher at ZIS will uphold high expectations for students, comfortably differentiating content and instruction across all courses.

Requirements

Applicants should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching Chemistry, preferably in an international school setting. For non-Swiss/EU applicants, international experience is required.

  • Teaching license including specialization
  • Documented record of excellence in teaching
  • Experience with IB Chemistry HL/SL and/or AP Chemistry
  • Experience teaching Physics would be an advantage
  • BA / BSc or equivalent university degree
  • Integration of technology into curriculum
