The Position

We are looking for a full-time qualified educator with a successful track record in teaching Spanish as a second language or to native speakers in grades 6 to 12. Our grade 6-12 program serves students ranging from complete beginners to fluent speakers, all preparing for success on external exams in their final years (Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate Diploma).

Our ideal candidate will be flexible, enthusiastic about collaboration, and ready to work alongside a dynamic team of World Languages teachers to plan, deliver, and assess a student-centered curriculum in a diverse international school setting. They will have high expectations for their students and be comfortable differentiating content and instruction across all courses. Experience working with learners who use English as an Additional Language and the ability to contribute to the ZIS co-curricular program are preferred qualifications.

Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of previous teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.
• Teaching license, including a relevant specialization.
• Documented record of excellence in teaching.
• BA/BSc or equivalent university degree.
• Understanding of best practices for supporting student success for ages 10-19.
• Familiarity with concept-based curriculum and instruction.
• Learner-centered focus.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Strong teamwork, collaboration, and active participation in school life.
