The Position

We are looking for a full-time qualified professional educator with a successful track record in teaching Spanish as a second language or to native speakers in grades 6 to 12. Our program caters to a diverse range of students, from complete beginners to fluent speakers preparing for external exams such as Advanced Placement and the International Baccalaureate Diploma in their final years.

The ideal candidate will be flexible and enthusiastic about collaborating with a dynamic team of World Languages teachers to plan, deliver, and assess a student-centered curriculum within an international school setting. High expectations for students and comfort in differentiating content and instruction will be essential. Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with learners who have English as an Additional Language and those who can contribute to the ZIS co-curricular program.

Qualifications

Teacher applicants should have at least 2-3 years of previous teaching experience, preferably in an international school. Applicants must demonstrate the following:

• Teaching license including specialism
• Documented record of excellence in teaching
• BA/BSc or equivalent university degree
• Understanding of best practices for teaching and supporting student success for ages 10-19
• Familiarity with concept-based curriculum and instruction
• Learner-centered focus
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Teamwork, collaboration, and active participation in school life
