The Position

We are looking for a full-time qualified professional educator with a successful track record in teaching Spanish, either as a second language or to native speakers, for grades 6 to 12. Our grade 6-12 program accommodates students ranging from complete beginners to fluent speakers who are preparing for external examinations in their final years (Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate Diploma).

An ideal candidate will be flexible and enthusiastic about collaborating with a dynamic team of World Languages teachers to plan, deliver, and assess a student-centered curriculum in a diverse international school setting. They will maintain high expectations for all students and be adept at differentiating content and instruction across various courses. Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with learners who speak English as an Additional Language and those who can contribute to the ZIS co-curricular program.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of previous teaching experience, preferably at an international school.
• Teaching license including specialization.
• Documented record of excellence in teaching.
• BA/BSc or equivalent university degree.
• Understanding of best practices for teaching and supporting student success for ages 10-19.
• Knowledge of concept-based curriculum and instruction.
• Learner-centered focus.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Ability to work collaboratively and actively participate in school life.
