The Position

We are looking for a full-time qualified educator with a proven track record in teaching Spanish as a second language or to native speakers in grades 6 to 12. In our grade 6-12 program, we cater to students ranging from complete beginners to fluent speakers who are preparing for external exams in their final years (Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate Diploma). The ideal candidate will be flexible and enthusiastic about collaborating with a dynamic team of professional World Languages teachers to plan, deliver, and assess a student-centered curriculum in a diverse international school environment. High expectations for students and the ability to differentiate content and instruction across all courses are essential. Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with learners for whom English is an additional language, as well as those who can contribute to the ZIS co-curricular program.

Qualifications

Teacher applicants should possess at least 2-3 years of previous teaching experience, preferably in an international school. Candidates must provide evidence of the following:

• Teaching license including specialization
• Documented record of excellence in teaching
• BA/BSc or equivalent university degree
• Understanding of best practices for supporting student success for ages 10-19
• Knowledge of concept-based curriculum and instruction
• Learner-centered focus
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Teamwork, collaboration, and active participation in school life
