The Position

We are looking for a dedicated German teacher for secondary education with experience in the IB Diploma Program. The ideal candidate will be flexible and enthusiastic about collaborating with a team of dynamic, professional language educators to plan, deliver, and assess a student-centered curriculum within a diverse international school environment. You will maintain high expectations for students and be skilled in differentiating content and instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Experience working with a multilingual population and the ability to contribute to the ZIS co-curricular program will be advantageous.

Requirements

Applicants must possess a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably within an international school setting. For non-Swiss/EU applicants, international experience is required.

• A valid teaching license with a specialization in teaching German to fluent language learners and/or language acquisition students.
• A documented record of teaching excellence.
• Experience with IB Diploma Program courses is desirable.
• A BA/BSc or equivalent university degree.
• Ability to integrate technology into the curriculum.
• Commitment to an inquiry-based approach that fosters curiosity and critical thinking.
• Dedication to ongoing professional development.
• Strong emphasis on building relationships with students and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively and actively participate in school life.
