The Position

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mathematics teacher for grades 6-12 (with an Upper School focus) who can engage and inspire learners through their passion and professional practice. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with IB Math HL/SL and/or AP Calculus/Pre Calculus. They should also be flexible and enthusiastic about collaborating with a dynamic team of professional Mathematics teachers to plan, deliver, and assess a student-centered curriculum in a diverse international school setting. A Mathematics teacher at ZIS will maintain high expectations for students and be proficient in differentiating content and instruction across all courses.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Mathematics, preferably in an international school setting.
• For non-Swiss/EU applicants, extensive international experience is necessary.
• Commitment to a learner-centered approach, with the ability to differentiate for diverse learning needs.
• Valid teaching license with a specialization; Master's level study is preferred.
• Documented record of excellence in teaching.
• Experience with IB Math HL/SL and/or AP Calculus.
• Proficient in integrating technology into the curriculum.
• Understanding of concept-based curriculum and instruction.
• Familiarity with inquiry-based pedagogical approaches.
• Dedication to ongoing professional development.
• Strong emphasis on relationship-building with students and colleagues.
