Your Tasks

  • Development of nuclear fuel performance codes, including both established methodologies and high-fidelity approaches.
  • Modeling and simulation of standard and advanced fuel concepts, covering operational, transient, accident, and storage scenarios.
  • Verification and validation of models, methods, and computational tools using international benchmark data, post-irradiation examinations, and experimental measurements.
  • Providing technical support to regulators through independent assessments and expert reviews of fuel-related safety questions.
  • Participation in international activities, preparation of research proposals, publication of scientific articles, and supervision of students.

Your Profile

  • PhD degree in nuclear engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong background and interest in nuclear fuel behavior, fuel performance modeling, and materials under irradiation.
  • Solid experience with fuel performance codes (e.g., FRAPCON/FRAPTRAN, TRANSURANUS, FALCON, BISON, OFFBEAT, etc.).
  • Experience with validation, benchmarking, and interpretation of fuel-related experimental results.
  • High proficiency in programming and scripting capabilities.
  • Good knowledge of numerical methods for scientific computing.
  • Familiarity with regulator-oriented analysis workflows is a plus.
