As a successful applicant, you will join our Science and Research - Analytical Sciences department in Geneva. We are seeking a highly motivated chemist eager to enhance our expertise in the "Manufacturing Process Development and Optimization" group and contribute to the development of our new products through analytical chemistry.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Identify, address, and resolve chemical development and production challenges by conducting detailed analytical investigations and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams, leveraging your expertise in analytical and organic chemistry.
- Propose innovative approaches, such as advanced spectroscopic techniques, to enhance the success of process and reaction monitoring initiatives.
- Manage and mentor a team of technicians, fostering their professional development and ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of various projects.
- Plan, prioritize, and execute experiments to effectively tackle scientific challenges.
- Build strategic relationships and communicate results clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.

You Bring
- A PhD in chemistry, with proven theoretical and hands-on experience in analytical chemistry and sound knowledge of organic chemistry.
- A strong background in qualitative and quantitative chromatography (GCMS, LCMS), with vibrational spectroscopy as a plus.
- A track record in statistics and advanced (multivariate) data processing, with a special focus on compound identification.
- Sound knowledge of chromatographic and spectroscopic software, as well as programming skills in Python and R as an advantage.
- Creativity and imagination to solve complex analytical problems following a rigorous scientific approach.
- An open-minded personality and the ability to deliver results in a cross-functional environment.
- Excellent team spirit, communication, organization skills, and networking capability.
- Fluency in English; working knowledge of French is considered a plus.
