How You’ll Make an Impact
- You are creative: Conduct high-quality industrial research in the realm of artificial intelligence for sustainable power grids, green energy, and related fields.
- You are visionary: Develop innovative approaches to design and operate the power grid, transform ideas into prototypes, and enhance technology readiness levels for productization.
- You take initiative: Collaborate with a global and interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers within Hitachi Energy Research and Business Units to identify and solve real-world challenges, while also recognizing opportunities for improvement.
- You collaborate: Foster relationships within the company and actively share your knowledge and expertise. Engage with both local and global external partners including universities and vendors.
- You communicate: Disseminate your findings through technical reports, patent documentation, and scientific publications.
Your Background
- PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with a solid understanding of algorithms, frameworks, and extensive experience in Python and relevant software tools.
- Strong ability and keen interest in applying AI/ML to real-world industrial applications, addressing various aspects of power grids and sustainable energy, from systems to individual components.
- Excellent communication skills, a team player attitude, initiative, and creativity.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
