Summary

In this pivotal role, you will be the primary contact for the review and approval of both promotional and non-promotional content, encompassing scientific medical information for healthcare professionals (HCPs), as well as educational materials aimed at enhancing understanding of Novartis products and relevant disease areas.

This position reports directly to the Medical Lead, Governance & Operations and is part of the Medical Affairs & CSO team in Rotkreuz.

About the Role

Major Accountabilities

  • Lead the review and approval of promotional and non-promotional content developed by Marketing and Medical Affairs teams to educate healthcare professionals or patients about Novartis drugs and therapies.
  • Ensure all content complies with Novartis guidelines and the obligations set forth in the Swiss Pharma Code and related laws, particularly regarding branding, claims, and clinical trials.
  • Engage proactively with Novartis Medical Managers to ensure the scientific validity of draft promotional materials.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, internal protocols, and the Pharma Code regarding content approval.
  • Support the implementation of training protocols for promotional materials for Commercial and Medical Affairs teams.
  • Assist the Medical Governance Lead with initiatives related to grants, managed access programs, and research collaborations.
  • Establish and maintain trustful relationships with internal and external stakeholders by exemplifying Novartis values and ethical standards.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company processes related to review and approval tools, contracts, and training.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • A university degree in pharmacy, medicine, veterinary medicine, or life sciences with a solid medical or technical background.
  • Business fluency in German and English; proficiency in French and/or Italian is a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of drug development processes, the Pharma Code, Good Clinical Practice, and local regulations.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership, management, and planning abilities, with a focus on quality and outcomes.
