Summary

We are looking for a passionate biologist who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. As a key member of our Lead Identification and Optimization (LIDO) team in Basel, you will execute biochemical and cellular profiling assays to deliver high-quality data that drives our early drug discovery projects. Your contributions will accelerate drug discovery by providing valuable insights into the efficacy of various compounds tested in our assays, all while collaborating with colleagues in global Discovery Sciences (DSc) and project teams within Biomedical Research (BR).

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adapt biochemical and/or cellular profiling assays into robust and standardized protocols to support the testing of newly synthesized compounds generated by project teams, focusing on swift data delivery.
  • Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for LIDO processes and quality control.
  • Proactively identify and implement improvements to enhance laboratory processes, performance, and reliability.
  • Coordinate and plan the execution of LIDO profiling assays with internal stakeholders.

Essential Requirements:

  • Expertise in either biochemical or cellular assay execution.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary global teams.
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to shifting priorities.
  • BSc or MSc in Biology, Biochemistry, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
